Why Do Politicians Always Say “Democracy”?
Because they can’t help contaminating the conversation with legal fockery.
An awake and educated population is dangerous to schemes built on confusion.Clarity blows them up.

The Actual Definitions
Democracy
A system where the people hold sovereign power.
Pure (Direct) DemocracyCitizens vote directly on laws and policies.
Representative DemocracyCitizens elect representatives to make decisions on their behalf.
Republic
A system where the people — or their elected representatives — govern under the rule of law, typically a constitution that:
Limits government power
Protects individual rights
Safeguards minorities from majority rule
So the Real Question Is:
